Pre-requisites

1. Annual Contract Agreement with First Orion Branded Communications (Post paid)
2. Access to First Orion Customer Portal
3. Vetted and Approved Business
4. Teams Phone
5. Microsoft Teams
6. Public trusted TLS certificate and private key for the SBC
7. Microsoft root certificates must be in CA list on SBC
8. Appropriate access to DNS provider
9. Fully qualified domain (FQDN)

Configuration Pre-requisites

1. DNS entry to establish FQDN for sub-domain
2. SSL Certificate from trusted provider for sub-domain of FQDN
3. Teams licensing

Teams Configuration

Step 1: Direct Routing

1. Login to Teams admin portal - https://admin.teams.microsoft.com
2. Navigate to: Voice -> Direct Routing-> SBC’s
3. Click “+ Add” to configure to SBC
4. Provide the following configuration
   1. Enabled: True
   2. FQDN: configured previously
      1. Example: f1.firtstorion.com
   3. SIP SIgnaling Port: 5061
   4. Failover response codes: 408,410,500,501,503

Step 2: Voice Routes

Note: A successful SBC responsible for Call Authentication should be configured before assigning to a Voice Route

1. Navigate to: Voice à Direct Routing à Voice Routes

2. Click “+ Add” to configure to new Voice Route

3. Provide the following configuration

   1. Name: First Route Voice Route (example)

   2. Priority: 1

   3. Click “Add SBCs”

   4. Select created Call Authentication SBC from Direct Routing steps

      
      

   5. Click "Save"

   6. Confirm Voice Routes

      1. Note: Call authentication should have a higher priority than PSTN route.

      

      
      

Step 3: Make Test Phone Calls

Make test calls to confirm Branding.
