Vonage Voice - Call Authentication

Pre-requisites

  1. First Orion Branded Communications agreement
  2. Vonge Voice Account
  3. Access to First Orion Customer Portal
  4. Vetted and Approved Business
  5. Ability to originate phone calls from configured phone numbers in calling platform

Step 1: Generate API Keys

These will be used in the Vonage setup as User ID and Password.

  1. Sign into First Orion's Customer Portal
  2. Navigate to the API Keys section on the left-hand side
  3. Click Generate Key
  4. Copy and save or download the generated keys

Step 2: Setup Call Authentication in Vonage Developer Dashboard

Step 3: Setup Call Authentication Program in First Orion Portal

  1. See the Call Authentication Guide for detailed Program creation instructions.
  2. Add the Vonage phone numbers into the Call Authentication Program.

Step 4: Make Phone Calls

Test phone calls from your Vonage Voice phone numbers that have been added to a Call Authentication Program.

Troubleshoot Checklist

  1. Verify First Orion credentials in Vonage dashboard.
  2. Verify Call Authentication Program is setup.
  3. Verify Phone numbers are in the Call Authentication Program
